A Man and His Sandwich (AMAHS) is widely regarded as one of the best food tours in New York City - a unique NYC experience built around the greatest food on earth - sandwiches.

It's part neighborhood tour, part culinary experience, part heated debate - and entirely worth your time.

We run food tours across New York City. Our flagship - the New York Sandwich Tour - is based in the East Village, Manhattan. We also run tours in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Times Square.

Tours run approximately 2 hours and include all food. Tickets are $75 per person - making it one of the best value food experiences in New York City.

All food, a knowledgeable and frankly excellent guide, and a small takeaway to remember us by. What's not included: drinks (don't forget we finish at a bar!) and gratuity.

No. Our goal is to get you stuffed, not sick. Eating a full sandwich at every stop would achieve the latter. Instead, we split sandwiches so you leave satisfied but comfortable after 2 hours.

Yes. We can accommodate almost all allergies and dietary restrictions - vegetarian, pescatarian, no shrimp, nuts, peppers, beef... we've heard them all.

Gluten free and vegan can be more difficult though, so please reach out before booking so we can chat about how to best accommodate you.

Both. Tourists get an authentic NYC neighborhood experience beyond the usual stops. Locals consistently discover sandwiches (and fun facts) they didn't already know. We take that as a compliment.

Yes. Kids of all ages are welcome - even the ones who won't eat anything. The tour moves at a relaxed pace and there's enough going on to keep younger ones entertained while the adults (and big kids) handle the important business of eating sandwiches.

Yes - and it's one of our favorite things to do. If your team bonding calendar is full of trust falls and sad conference rooms, we're here to help. AMAHS corporate and private group tours are one of the most unique team experiences in New York City, and we customize the experience to fit your crew.

Yes. We're biased of course, but the 3,000+ five-star reviews suggest we're not wrong. AMAHS consistently ranks among the top food experiences and things to do in New York City on Airbnb, Google, TripAdvisor, GetYourGuide and major travel platforms. We've also been recommended by NBC, The Morning Show, Eater, Forbes, Lonely Planet, Variety Magazine and the New York Times.

Come on the tour. We'll discuss.
